Tempe Learning Center is a division of Valley Childcare & Learning Centers, which was established in 1968 as a provider of childcare services.
During the past 32 years, Valley Child care & Learning Centers has been a leader within the childcare industry. We started as "All Seasons Childcare" in 1968 as a provider of childcare. In 1992 our name changed to "Valley Childcare & Learning Center" because of the great demand that exists for preschool programs.
Our company has evolved into not only a quality childcare provider service, but also a pre-school program that will enhance the educational development of your child. Valley Childcare & Learning Centers has now built and established ore than 48 custom childcare centers across the country.

I was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. I moved from California to Ohio after graduating college. I started working in a department store and ended up marrying my department manager. We have been married over 34 years now. We have enjoyed raising two boys. Our oldest is now married and we are thrilled to have two wonderful grandsons. The youngest is single and serves in the Army Reserves.
This is our second move to Arizona and we are glad to call it home. My interests and hobbies mainly fall around childcare, but also I love to garden, read and paint.
Our center is currently in the process of working towards a nationally recognized accreditation. We are excited about obtaining this accreditation. As the center’s director, I feel one of my most important duties is to provide teachers who are devoted to the children’s care and learning. Hi, I’m Peggy Throntveit, Director of Cactus Preschools.
I was born and raised in a small community in North Dakota. 3 ½ years ago I decided it was time to move to a warmer climate. I have been blessed to have touched the lives of many children for over twenty five years. I had owned and operated my own childcare center until three years ago I became the Director for Cactus Preschools. We are currently in the process of preparing our center to receive a nationally recognized accreditation from N.E.C.P.A. I am married with two grown children and four wonderful grandchildren. I truly enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as reading and relaxing. I am taking classes at Rio Salado College Online and am working towards completion of my CDA, a nationally recognized credential. I encourage you to come in and take a tour of our center!
